Oh boy, this one may take awhile. Blobs have become the most common and varied slimes in existance. They range from basic balls of goo to the adorable Puyos and even go into the Blob-Form class with some of Dragon Warrior's later Slime classes like Wing Slimes and Drak Slimes. Slimes tend to have quite a few things in common. First, they have a rounded apperance. This is what makes them Blobs. Second, they tend to posses a relativly high intelligence that ranges from the intelligence of a new born human baby, to an intelligence hiogher than that of your average human adult. Mind you, I don't consider humans to be very intelligent, so these Slimes definitely tend to be more intelligent than humans. Blobs tend to stay away from anything they consider dangerous. The most common personalities of slimes are Cowardly and Lonely. Cowardly can be a good thing, apparently Slimes value their lives more than humans do. Lonely, is another common Blob personality. It's name is rather deciving however. Lonely doesn't mean "lacking in friends" as much as it means "I'm a worthless pile of goo that doesn't deserve to live and anyone who tries to be my friend is just pittying me and trying to make me feel better. They shouldn't waste their time on me and should go do something else with their lives." I guess you could call those Slimes, "Gothy". As shown in the comic "Unicorn Jelly", Slimes do have the intelligence to build a city out of hardened mucus and tend to act not much diffrently than humans.

Blobs may not have the same acidic power of Oozes, but they are, on average, more intelligent than Oozes and can thus use Magic. Blobs that can use magic are usually a color other than the average Green or Blue. Red Blobs tend to be rather good at magic and cast mostly fire spells, whereas Black Blobs tend to cast much more powerful and devistating spells. A White or Clear Blob will usually act as a healer.

The Slimes in the Megami Tensei series tend to not have any real distinguishing features, but their personalities fall under the "Lonely" category. The Megami Tensei Slimes will tell you that you are wasting your time with them and that they are very weak. It is VERY hard to console them and get them to jin you, so good luck.
